I decided to go online and order a few items from Cybermoon.com- well maybe more than a few items almost $200 worth on March 23rd, was told my order would ship out that week and they took my money, I had ordered a kit and they said: "As soon as the boxes come in, we will ship kits. We are expecting our boxes to arrive literally any day."

I waited 2 weeks and got nothing, emailed again got an email saying:

Greetings!

Thank you for letting us know your order failed to arrive. We will check
with the warehouse and, if your order hasn't already shipped, make sure it
gets out asap. If you ordered more than one item, please be aware your
order may arrive in more than one package.

If your order included runes, please remember that runes are not made until
they are ordered. That way, you receive runes that were made just for you.

If your order included an altar kit, please be aware that the boxes for the
altar kits are late arriving. We are expecting the boxes literally any day
and will ship the kits as soon as the boxes arrive. We haven't forgotten
about you.

Our apologies for any inconvenience this may have caused.

Blessings
Beth

Within 5 days of that email I got about $35 worth of my order, still missing arround $120 worth of product, not to count the $20 shipping fee. On top of that the OLOTA Anna Riva Oil that they sent me smells like nothing but Johnson & Johnson baby oil.

I have emailed and phoned them almost every day since and have not had once response. The 1 month anniversary of my order was the day that I promised them I'd go online and start spreading the word on what a horrible, fraudlant company they are.

Some of this is my bad, I should have done my homework first. Other complaints I have found on:

  • Uh there is no cybermoon.com anymore. Its possible they shut down in which case they should repay you. Unless they declare bankrutpcy. I don't buy from Pagan Shops cause they all charge way too much anyway. Everything on my altar comes from either second hand stores or nature.

Its always gotten me that these shops charge way too much yet most Pagans are pretty broke. The only people who can afford this stuff is New Age yuppies who tend to be very airy fairy fluff bunnies. Once in awhile a real Pagan will save up or spend some money they don't really have on something from these shops. I usually only buy bumperstickers or jewelry from these places. I make my own candles & incense now or I buy them cheaper from a head shop or coop & my books I buy from Powells.com.

I'm sorry you got taken Stephanie. The fact that they sold a fluffy 'Charmed Altar Kit" would have warned me away from them since Charmed is a phony & insulting representation of Pagans.

Shows like Charmed, Buffy & Sabrina & movies like The Craft are at fault for flooding the Pagan community with 1,000s of fluff bunnies.

Yeah. Like Stephanie, l live in an apartment without a garden (though there's a little terrace area that might work), and have considered getting one of these things www.officialaerogarden.com/ce-h....aspx - or at least a cheap knockoff. Dollar stores rock for candles if you don't want to make your own, and l get most of my stones and crystals at markets or fairs where they have loose rocks on sale for cheap. They run smaller usually, but l don't personally think size makes as much of a difference as having the stone and its relevant properties. Or at least they come in handy if you're making bundles or pouches.

"Its always gotten me that these shops charge way too much yet most Pagans are pretty broke."

l know! l wonder the same thing myself. And like you said, aside from candles, herbs and affordable gems, Pagan literature isn't limited to Pagan retailers, and ironically, they often charge more than a mainstream bookstore might. Ahhh, Pagan capitalism at its finest.

Oh, just you wait. Playskool will be coming out with shit before too long.

l agree, though l'm okay with admitting that l'm a Buffy fan. l blame it on strep throat and all day TV marathon. But seriously.
Though l agree that the Pagan community is now saturated with a bunch of teenybopper Shaman-Wiccan-Druids with God complexes, out of every hundred of those, there may be 2-5 that find themselves exactly where they're supposed to be, will commit to whatever path they choose, and make fine, intelligent young pagans as they continue to grow and mature. l'll take the lurve speel requests and indignant queries about why it didn't work if it means that l'll have the pleasure of meeting some winners along the way that make me proud. Hell, l post on a couple of teen forums deliberately to meet those kids.

l think it's interesting that this particular religion became a fad, but for any normal kid with a desire for rebellion, it's a perfect scapegoat. With great ritual comes great power, and they come hardwired with an overblown ego, so the God complex ("So you made the cheerleading team? Break a leg! Muauauahahahahaahaaa") is bound to be the next step. Fortunately, Pagans in general are a clear and outspoken lot, and a number of the fluffies will probably go through the initiation of having their asses handed to them on a platter by the older and more experienced, and l tend to think it's a pretty good screening process. lf they stick around after that, l gotta give it to 'em for the humility it takes to be schooled with grace. And after that, AFAIC, they're in. l went through it when l was 18, and many a flurf will go through it, whether they stick around or not. lt may be a tedious screening process at times, but the winners make it all worth it.

  • cybermoonemporium.com looks like a drop-shipper to me - when you order something, they place orders with other companies and then ships it to you. A lot of their wares look exactly like items from AzureGreen & the Pyramid Collection.

If I were in your position, I'd return the items they'd sent to me & contact my credit card company & have the charges reversed.
  • UPDATES:

I haven't heard from them since April 7th and threatened to start spreading the word today if I hadn't heard anything and today they were finally capable of sending me 5 emails in ONE day! Amazing how quickly they can finally respond!

They apparently read my posts on tribe.net cause now they are telling me that they are looking forward to hearing from my attorney since I quoted their email. lol

They actually opted to just cancel my order and refund my money instead of bothering to pretend like they'd get my order to me in this decade.

Unfortunately I work full time and am 3 credits away from taking classes full time. Not to mention I'm married to a man that works the night shift and live in a small apartment with no yard, so growing my own stuff, or making my own stuff isn't doable for me at this time in my life - maybe some day, but not now - even if I had the supplies I try to stay out of the house while he sleeps during the day if I am at home.

I was out of a lot of stuff and put in a big order , I bought one of their kits for a friend of mine for her birthday, I don't know at the time it seemed like a good idea, but her birthday was 2 weeks ago now, so its a good thing I got her something else. I really liked their Chakra kits and was excited to get that too.
  • that happed to me with an online order to Pan Pipes in hollywood. I only spent 40 dollars on herbs, incense and shipping but they never sent anything. Never repaid my money and never returned calls, answered the phone, opened their doors. it was like they took the money and ran -and I don't think it was just me.

I understand that there can be personal problems but no one likes to be ripped off.

It seems they are doing better now and it has been over a year but I just haven't gone back to the store because of that incidence.
