Interesting thing about this interview is Raymond (the Father of American Wicca) talks about how he believes Fluff Bunny New Agey witches are diluting Wicca in a very very bad way. Old Wicca had some rules. New Agers have tossed those rules out so they can do whatever they feel like and call it Wicca. Raymond saids say it all you want its not Wicca.

Sun, March 23, 2008 - 12:26 PMThank you so much for sharing that. I really enjoyed what he had to say about the way we are heading and what we need to accomplish. I long for that as well.

Re: Raymond Buckland YouTube Interview
Tue, April 1, 2008 - 6:16 PMBuckland's 'big blue book' (Buckland's Complete Book of Witchcraft) was my first introduction to formalized Wiccan rituals. I appreciated how he included a solitary self-dedication ritual in it. I followed his guidelines faithfully for several years & then ended up taking an in-depth class that used the Witches' Bible Compleat by the Farrars & I found it very hard to switch to a mindset of a twin God (not to mention calling the Goddess Aradia from that chap book by Leland).
I always suggest Buckland's book to people looking for an introduction to Wicca - and he's got a decent guide to mediumship out there, too (The Spirit Book). -

Wed, April 2, 2008 - 8:23 PMBuckland's Complete Guide to Witchcraft was one of my first books on Wicca. Looking back, I find him to be just as much to blame for the sorry state of McWiccan as a few other Llewellyn published writers, like RavenWolf. Far as I'm concerned he's a stopped clock--right twice a day but still broken.
